OrganiLock Making Inroads Into Africa

Healthy soil is a need that crosses every border. OrganiLock's work started in Kentucky, but the same problem we set out to solve at home - tired, depleted ground - holds back growers all over the world. We are excited to share the first step in taking OrganiLock international.

A partnership sparked at the ECHO conference

Fresh off another productive year at the ECHO International Agriculture Conference, a long-running gathering focused on practical farming solutions for smallholder growers and hunger relief, OrganiLock connected with our partner Mission Resource International. Together, we announced plans to bring OrganiLock's Soil Food to Malawi, in southeastern Africa.

Why it matters

For many growers in sub-Saharan Africa, depleted soil is one of the hardest barriers to a dependable harvest. Years of intensive cropping, erosion, and limited access to inputs leave the ground tired and short on the biology that makes it productive. That is exactly the gap OrganiLock was built to close. Instead of feeding the plant and forgetting the ground it grows in, Soil Food feeds the living soil itself, helping rebuild the biology that holds water and cycles nutrients so land can stay productive over time.

The road ahead

This is an exciting first step, and we are grateful to Mission Resource for helping open the door. Soil is the foundation of every harvest, and we believe a soil-first approach can help farmers far beyond Kentucky.
