Our Patent Is Official — And the Future of Soil Health Just Got a Whole Lot Brighter 🌱

After years of research, hard work, and waiting, we’re thrilled to announce a major milestone for OrganiLock: the Soil Food process is now officially patented!

This is more than just paperwork—it’s a breakthrough that sets a new standard in sustainability and soil health. We are now the only company in the world with a patented process for combining animal mortality and biomass, dehydrating it, and transforming it into a shelf-stable, microbe-rich soil amendment.

Turning Loss Into Life

Every year, farms across the globe face the unfortunate reality of livestock mortality. For many, the only option has been to dispose of these animals in landfills or through expensive and environmentally taxing methods. But we saw a different way—a better way.

Soil Food was born from a vision of honoring the life of every animal by returning its nutrients to the earth, where they can support new life and healthier ecosystems. Our process pairs animal remains with plant-based biomass, biochar, and beneficial microbes, then gently dehydrates the mixture into a shelf-stable product that stays biologically dormant until water is added.

A Living Amendment, Activated by Water

Unlike other soil amendments that deliver microbes without food—or food without microbes—Soil Food is both. Once watered in, the product springs to life, activating a thriving microbial community and feeding it at the same time.

This synergy boosts soil fertility, improves structure, and promotes long-term regenerative growth. And because it’s shelf-stable until activated, Soil Food is easy to store, transport, and apply whenever and wherever it's needed most.

The Future of Soil Starts Here

This patent is more than just protection for our innovation—it’s a launchpad for global impact. From home gardens, to small-scale farms, to large agricultural operations, Soil Food has the potential to reshape how we think about waste, fertility, and sustainability.

We’re proud of this moment, but even more excited about what comes next. Together, we’re not just growing crops—we’re growing a movement.
